Industry 4.0 – Intelligent Automation of Manufacturing with SAP-MII

Introduction

The purpose of this blog is to leverage SAP’s Digital manufacturing and SAP-MII capabilities to Integrate diversified manufacturing processes, machines, and systems together to bring smart manufactring concepts (Industry 4.0 ) into reality. 80% of the data is generated on the shop floor, If we would able to capture all those data using a comprehensive integration framework and contextualize with business acumen, then this would potentially solve all manufacturing related issues and help archiving.

How to create a follow up (Subsequent Notification) in PM

Prerequisite:

You have a PM notification under which you want to create a child (subsequent or follow up) notification.

Overview:

I wanted to create a subsequent PM notification under a parent notification and could not found any concrete solution for the same which inspired me to write this blog to help fellow developers who are facing a similar problem.

Understanding & Implementing ILM Part 1

Recently I was assigned to a prototype development which needs to consume ILM framework in ABAP on-Premise system. I have divided the whole ILM topic into two separate blogs. The first one which we are going to discuss in this blog is to have the ability to automatically detect and destruct destroyable data (and its related component). Destroyable data is defined as data that are expired or no more needed based on pre-defined customizable business scenario. One such business scenario could be “retention period”.
